Can't make it to a beach this summer? Bring the beach adventure home by embroidering this peaceful view inspired by Alameda Beach, California.

Every step of this project is well explained and suitable for an embroiderer with some experience or an adventurous beginner. I consider this intermediate because getting the fence just right might be tedious for a beginner. That requires additional patience but guarantees hours and hours of therapeutic stitching time!

While recommended for those with some experience, this pattern is written with absolute beginners in mind. I walk you through material selection, knotting your thread, learning the stitches, all of it! A Day at the Beach is a great pattern to DIY your own modern embroidery hoop art.

This 12-page .pdf details everything you need to know to stitch this beautiful embroidery, including:

  • Supply List
  • Pattern Page
  • Getting Started
  • Stitch Guide
  • Photo Walk Through
  • Finishing Your Hoop

This is a Digital Download. No physical product will be provided. The .pdf will be available to download immediately after purchase.

All sales on digital downloads are final. If you don't already have embroidery supplies on hand, Check out the A Day at the Beach Complete Embroidery Kit - it has everything you'll need (just add scissors)

Made a 'still ocean' version for my grandmother, to celebrate many years of going to the beach together. It's a great guide. \n\nI would recommend embroidering using a 5" hoop around the 4" pattern, to avoid navigating the needle around the hoop edge. Then swap in a 4" when you're done.

Lovely pattern that was straightforward and detailed. The recipient loved it and said she was taken back to her days living on an island. Thank you!

I've only been embroidering for about a month & this one will go to my brother in law. The pattern is fantastic - well written, good tips & very straight forward!
